Updated School and College Timings for the Winter Season Released
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has modified the operational hours for all schools and colleges in urban and rural areas of Islamabad due to the recent decrease in temperature.
According to the notification issued by the FDE, the updated timings will be in effect from December 1 to January 31, 2024.
For single-shift institutions, the revised schedule involves activities from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with an early closure at 12:30 pm every Friday.
Similarly, the FDE has conveyed revised timings for double-shift institutions in the federal capital. The morning session will take place from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm from Monday to Thursday, concluding at 12:30 pm on Fridays.
The evening shift will operate from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, and the second shift will commence at 2:30 pm on Fridays.
This adjustment in school timings is expected to be reflected in other parts of the country, considering the anticipated further drop in temperature.
